Morten Aleksander Nilsen Sound Engineer and Music Producer
Morten has worked as a professional sound engineer since 2006 and holds a degree in musicology.
Since 2014, he has been a sound engineer at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, where he has gained extensive experience with classical music, large-scale opera and ballet productions, sound design, and advanced technical audio solutions. He also has considerable experience in sound reinforcement for acoustic instruments in large-scale settings, as well as in audio recording and production for children and young people.
He combines his work at the Opera with his role at Lydkilden, where he particularly enjoys working with acoustic and Baroque music in smaller concert venues. Drawing on his background in both major stage productions and intimate concert settings, he prioritizes natural sound reproduction, musical understanding, and solutions that serve the needs of both performers and the audience.
